friday favorite things | finding joy
These are a few of my favorite things from this week.
Morning Star
Monarch Butterflies at the Botanical Gardens Butterfly Exhibit

The Botanical Gardens also had an unusual art exhibit on display--
Whispers of a New World: Sculptures by Carolina Escobar, contemporary art  throughout the Garden featured the work of local artist Carolina Escobar. Using vibrant colors and shapes inspired by nature, the artist works with steel, copper screen and resined cloth to create organic sculptures.

Each week, Hilary lists four statements with a blank  to fill in on your own blogs. If you want to join the fun and come up with four fill in’s of your own, please email them to her at If she uses them, she will add you as co-host to the hop!
