Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. In your opinion what's the most important job in the world? Oh, and parenting is a given so besides parenting, what's the most important job in the world?
Most important job for me is to be a good example.  Now if you mean a job you get paid for--then being a good teacher.

2. Share a favorite or not so favorite memory from a childhood birthday.
Growing up we really never celebrated birthdays is special ways.  We would have a cake and a present from Mom and Dad.

3. Peanut butter-crunchy or smooth?
Smooth peanut butter.

4. William Butler Yeats is credited as saying, "Happiness is neither virtue nor pleasure nor this thing nor that but simply growth, We are happy when we are growing." Your thoughts?
I think that happiness is a state of mind that you consciously choose.  It is a choice.

5. What's something that makes you cringe?
Fingernail scraping on a chalk board.

6. Name a song that always puts you in a good mood?

7. The answer is yes. What's the question?
Do you like to read?

8. Insert your own random thought here.
Speaking of reading, I forgot to take my Kindle with me when I took my grandson to the ER this morning.  He had a really bad asthma attack.  We were there from 7:30 to 12:30.  Boring!!!  He was fine after 3 breathing treatments, some steroids, and a couple of prescriptions for meds.

  1. Glad that your grandson is doing fine now ... I have often forgotten to grab my Kindle when I'm going somewhere where there will be a wait ... I need to get into the habit of grabbing my phone AND my Kindle when heading out ... that I know that I'll have it with me. ;-)

  3. Your poor grandson...glad to know he's feeling much better after a restless morning! No one sings "How Great Thou Art" better than Carrie Underwood!

  4. The most important job in the world I think is that of the garbage man. What a stinkier place it would be without them.

  5. I love How Great Thou Art; very passionate song and those are the ones that I just want to sing LOUDLY...when I'm alone and no one hears my voice. LOL Although my grandmother's friends talked about missing her singing voice in church at her wake. They said she had the voice of an angel because, even though she couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, she MEANT it when she sang.
