Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. Will you be hosting any house guests between now and the end of December? Does that thought make you happy or crazy? Do you do anything special for your guests to make them feel at home? How long should a house guest stay?
No, it will be a quiet holiday this year.  When I do have guests, it is usually family and they are so busy that they leave long before they wear out their welcome.

2. Walter Elias Disney was born this week (December 5) back in 1905 ...what's your all time favorite Disney movie? Here's a list in case you're struggling...and yes, you have to pick one.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs It's a good thing I like because when the grands are here, it is always on the to-watch list.

3. What was the last thing you purchased that you realized was a mistake after the fact?
A harness for my dog that was too small.  Luckily Walmart exchanges, if you can stand to wait in line at customer service.

4. What percentage of your Christmas shopping is done online?
Of the things that I buy--99%.  Most of the things, I make.

5. Amaryllis-snowdrop-poinsettia...your favorite winter blossom?
I do like poinsettias--especially the pink and white ones.  But as I am allergic to them, I have to enjoy them from a distance.

6. What is one thing on your personal Christmas wish list? I think we all want peace on earth so let's make this answer an actualitem.
I wish for maturity for my grandson.  He is 20.  Although I don't know if that wish is an actuality.

7. If you could only use one word today what would it be?
Anxious.  I had outpatient cancer surgery this morning, and 25 stitches later--and at the jaw line.  I hope that they got all of this tumor.

8. Insert your own random thought here.
My five year old grand daughter got three bad marks in kindergarten.  When her Dad picked her up, and she told him, he said "Well you are going to get three swats"  He gave her two (Knowing him they were love-taps) in the car, as they were pulling into the driveway at home she said, "Don't forget, you have to give me another swat".  He sent her to her room.

How can anyone get bad marks in kindergarten? Do children even get to be children anymore?
