You never know where you may find bits of wisdom. Consider this man--Doyle F. Brunson (born August 10, 1933) an American professional poker player who has played professionally for over 50 years. He is the first two-time World Series of Poker main event champion to win consecutively, a Poker Hall of Fame inductee, and the author of several books on poker. He was the first player to earn $1 million in poker tournaments.
Doyle Brunson said, "Dear God, I have a problem; it's me." Unfortunately I share this same problem.
Paul, the apostle, says the exact thing in Romans 7: 15, 18-19, 24-25 I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate....And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to do what is right, but I can’t. I want to do what is good, but I don’t. ReplyDeleteG.K. Chesterton said sort of the same thing and I always agree with that statement with my whole heart. I think that is interesting that man has played poker so long, I bet it is something to watch.

We've seen him many times on poker after dark, one of my DH favorites.
