1. A new Miss America was crowned on Saturday night-did you watch? If you were a contestant what would your talent be?
I didn't watch. If I were a contestant, ha ha, my talent would be cooking baking. I am the queen of cookies.
2. Do you have houseplants? Real or fake?
2. Do you have houseplants? Real or fake?
I have real house plants, but not too many of them--three on my kitchen windowsill, and two in my living room. Above is a spindly ficus, and a Chinese aralia
3. When you were in school did you speak up or were you more of the hide your face, avoid eye contact, and pray the teacher didn't call on you type of student?
I was so shy that I would never volunteer when I was in school. I was smart and could always answer if called upon. But by the time I got to college, I learned to speak up.
Love to eat at PF Changs. I start with lettuce wraps, and then anything with chicken or seafood to follow. I love Chinese food.
5. How would you define a miracle? What would it take for you to consider something a miracle?
A miracle is when something beyond human expectations happen. I am a firm believer in miracles. Christmas Eve day the stranger who appeared to help my grandson--a miracle. That my grandson wasn't killed in the accident, even the doctors said was a miracle.
6. What's your favorite Disney song? If you're stuck you'll find a list here.
From Cinderella--A Dream is a wish your Heart Makes
A dream is a wish your heart makesWhen you're fast asleep
In dreams you lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep
Have faith in your dreams and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling through
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
the dream that you wish will come true

Gotten more sleep yesterday. I was restless because of Sheridan's surgery. Every sound he made, woke me, now I am so tired.

ReplyDeleteIt is not unusual to have 100 degree days in March.
DeleteI am so ready for spring - not so much the cleaning but I want to get out and plant the garden!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid, one of our neighbors would actually move ALL of their furniture out onto the yard, the lady would clean her house, then they'd move it all back in. Now THAT's spring cleaning! Needless to say, I've never done that. lol
DeleteI'm still trying to clean up from Christmas : ) PF Changs lettuce wraps are a favorite here too!
ReplyDeletePF Changs is definitely a weakness of mine...YUM! Their lettuce wraps are to-die-for!
ReplyDelete#1-same as you. [o=

I totally missed your post about your grandson's car accident. Wow! That was definitely an angel helping him. They do God's bidding and then disppear. It's happened to us. I can't imagine the terror when you saw the car! Praise the Lord for His protection!
ReplyDeleteI can't even begin to think about spring cleaning yet. Christmas is over and it's time to hibernate! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with Zoanna... had no idea. The Lord's favor is obviously on Him!
Blessings, Debbie
We tried PF Changs for the first time in August. You have to go all the way to Pittsburgh to find one. It was delicious, though. So different from the average take-out place.
ReplyDeleteLove PF Changs too! There is one really close to the Hubby's office so it's easy for him to bring me some home. Love that!
ReplyDeleteI've never really given the words to that song much thought but wow, it's a good one!
I always enjoy reading your answers. I hope you get caught up on your rest. I like what you said about miracles. I would say without a doubt you were the recipient of one. I hope you are both recovering okay.
ReplyDeleteOkay Cookie Queen of the West, this is Cookie Queen of the East! Next Christmas we need to ship some cookies to each other! :) Will they even let contestants bake cookies in the Miss America pageant?
ReplyDeleteI'm slowly working on 2 years of Spring Cleaning right now. Maybe I'll install some window sills for plants, hmmm....
You're doing your spring cleaning? Oh My! I haven't even thought about it. Hope you feel better and get rest.
ReplyDeleteNice post. I think that miracle is called an ANGEL. xo, Cheryl
ReplyDeleteThat was one of the songs I immediately thought of. My daughter has it playing on her alarm clock. I don't get to my spring cleaning for at least a few more months :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely like the words from Cinderella. That's such a wonderful Disney production! I recall how my best childhood friend was privilege to see Cinderella. I envied her. I didn't get to watch Cinderella until I had children of my own. We bought it on VHS many moons ago. Now, my youngest daughter has all of our Disney movies. I need to buy these on DVD or Blu-Ray for our future grandkids. =D Thanks for visiting!
ReplyDeleteSorry, can't comment except by replying. I enjoyed reading your answers. My favorite Disney song is the one Celine Dion sings from Beauty and the Beast. As for spring cleaning, I will wait awhile. I cleaned pretty good for Christmas! Not real deep, but deep enough. And that means cleaning the top of the refrigerator and wiping down the light fixtures, etc. Not something I do as often as I should! It's got to do with that getting older problem.
DeleteI am happy to be able to comment. I'd given up some while ago, but perhaps blogger has things straighted around.
