Glendale Glitters

Every year I look forward to seeing the Christmas lights around town.

Glendale, Arizona, just west of Metro Phoenix, is home to the largest display of holiday lights in Arizona. named Glendale Glitters But it is more than just lights. The event runs from Thanksgiving weekend through the Bowl game weekends in January. The special holiday lights, which now total 1.4 million, attract more than 300,000 visitors every year.

Throughout the holiday season, there is shopping in Glendale's historic district, beautiful light displays, hot air balloons  and horse-drawn carriage rides.  

The parking is a nightmare on weekends, but during the week you can park and walk and enjoy the sights.
