Grandson--Gilbert |
His daddy and a couple of other guys coach this group of seven year olds. They teach the kids in an encouraging way, explaining mistakes in the huddle, and shouting encouragement, and giving high fives for accomplishments.
What a contrast to the other coach! He was yelling at the kids, and demeaning them in front of everyone. I felt sorry for them.
Gilbert was really excited about something other than the game. He lost his first tooth, and was showing anyone who would look.

Is little sister, Valerie a football fan? Not so much. But she found a friend to play with during the game.
It looks like a nice way to spend the day. Your are in Arizona right? I am in California and we haven't had much fall to speak of yet either.
ReplyDeleteThat is why it took me so long to finish that Halloween rug it was to hot to have the thing in my lap.
At least the air isn't running and running. It is nice to just have the windows open. My son in law is from the Phoenix area. Lovely place.
Thanks for your comment.
Too cute...reminds me of my kids, boy 7, girl 4. Thanks for your sweet comment :) Laurel@chippingwithcharm
ReplyDeleteFun times! But I hate to hear about coaches talking that way to the kids. We had a coach once on our son's baseball team that talked down to his players. Thankfully, he didn't coach long. I can't fathom how they think that's going to do any good!
