Which Way is Up

Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada was a fascinating stop on our cruise.
Beginning of an interesting day
Fallsview Park features the amazing Reversing Falls Rapids.  This was our view first thing in the morning at low tide
Reversing Falls Rapids at low tide
And this is the same sight at high tide in the afternoon
Notice the river is flowing in the opposite direction
The phenomenon of the Reversing Falls is caused by the tremendous rise and fall of the tides of the Bay of Fundy, which are the highest in the world. In Saint John, the bay tides rise 28 ½ feet.

St Martins Lighthouse
Two covered bridges in St. Martins
Boats docked at pier at low tide.  They can only enter harbor at high tide
