This is not so in much of the world where children hold little value. This situation was addressed by the United Nations. Children's Day was established in 1954 to protect children working long hours in dangerous circumstances and allow all children access to an education. The UN General Assembly recommended that all countries should establish a Universal Children's Day on November 20, by United Nations recommendation. Sadly, even here in the USA children can be victims.
I hope today everyone will remember those children who are so under privileged and think of a way to help in some small way.
Beautiful. Each child, no matter circumstances, deserves to have both their physical AND emotional needs met.
