My bedside table in an old treadle Singer sewing machine. On it are a picture of my mom as a child, a picture of my dad in his Canadian Army uniform, a vintage looking lamp and of course the TV remote control and telephone. I also have a vintage doll and a potpourri jar.
2. Hardback, Paperback or E-Reader?
I have a few hardbacks, never buy them due to high cost, I have a lot of paperbacks which I donate to the Visiting Nurses after I read them, and I read a lot on Kindle. I also read the cereal boxes, the pillow warning labels, etc. In other words if it has words on it I read it.
3. What is your 'go to' drink of choice?
Hot coffee first thing in the morning, and then if it is a warm day like today, iced tea.
4. How do you like to spend your birthday?
I would love to go out to dinner with family, but since they live everywhere else, it is just like any other day.
5. Finish this sentence - I would never be caught dead in ...
A bikini. Unless of course, I wanted to clear the beach in 5 seconds flat.
I thought about answering #5 with bikini but didn't want to put that picture in anybody's mind!
ReplyDeleteI laughed at your comment about reading anything in print. I remember, as a kid, reading the backs of cereal boxes. Now I don't eat cereal. But, like you, if there's anything in print on the kitchen counter, I pick it up and read it. lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for the idea of the treadle sewing machine as a night stand. I have two of them out in the shop. One of them is coming in to be a night stand in the guest room! :-)
I don't think I ever had bikini days...
ReplyDeleteI read everything around me too, which has really helped at times when I've been bored to tears.
LOL- I'm with you on number 5! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI am definitely a follower of yours, otherwise, I'd be a new one so you could hit that magical number! Would you believe that I don't drink coffee? I can't stand the taste, but love the smell!
ReplyDeleteAh, another beach clearer. It's an ugly job but somebodies got to do it!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Debbie
Funny post today. I read anything too with words on it. I am going to try to remember to do this link up next Monday.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week!
I too read everything - the back of cereal boxes, the fine print on ads... whatever ...
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute bedside table. A great use for an antique.
ReplyDeleteI love that old sewing machine. What a perfect bedside table!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you on #5! ha! I'd like to blame 2 pregnancies and my age, but truth be told, I never had the figure for a bikini (and frankly even if I had the right figure, I just prefer something more modest!). ;-)
ReplyDeleteFun meeting with you this fine Monday morning! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by for a visit...now I can visit you and now you can have your give a way because I am your 100 follower.....what fun ahead...
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed reading and getting to know you..You have a lovely blog...

ReplyDeleteI read anything in print as well. I crave reading. I am a news junkie too but it can get too depressing at times if its just negative stuff.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog background!
